However, it is not impossible, and various methods have been proposed to describe frication noise (which is what seems to interest you more than the stop burst here, although some methods would work for both): spectral moments (see Forrest et al., 1988 if you can find it it is an important article about those measures, what they mean and how to compute them) could be of help, although their use is sometimes criticized ( Koenig et al., 2013).
